Adam Smith International sub-contract KATUNI for analysis on revenue generation in Somalia

Adam Smith International (ASI) (DFID) has sub-contracted KATUNI Consult for a DFID (Somalia) commissioned research project to identify options for support to revenue collection in South Central Somalia. This is to feed into the design of DFID’s new programme of support to Public Resource Management, planned to begin in March 2016. The review include document review and consultation with key FGS stakeholders, Somali businesses including the managers of the main revenue generating assets (the Port and Airport) and those most likely to be impacted by revenue reforms (e.g. large businesses), international donors working in the area (especially the IMF and World Bank), in particular looking at options for increasing transparency, accountability and revenue generation in Somalia.
